
The main responsibility for monitoring the implementation of the NREAPs, NEEAPs and SE4All Action Agendas lies with the ECOWAS Member States with ECREEE’s support.
A regional workshop will be convened to discuss the results of the exercise as well as assist relevant stakeholders tackle problems that arise in data collection and computation of the national monitoring templates. Time will be allocated for open panel discussions; sharing lessons learnt and best practices for data management amongst others.
The main objective of the workshop is to discuss the results of the exercise as well as assist stakeholders tackle problems that arise in data collection and computation of the national monitoring framework templates. Additionally, the workshop will seek to initiate potential collaboration between ECREEE and UEMOA to develop energy balances for the Anglophone ECOWAS member states.
The specific objectives are to:
The workshop will convene energy experts appointed by each member state to compile the national monitoring framework templates; two technical experts from two countries with Energy Information Systems; an energy data resource person; and GIZ and ECREEE staff. Approximately 25 participants are expected to participate in the workshops.
