Praia, 3/March/2017 – With a total budget of 1,050,000 USD, ECREEE in partnership with AfDB and NEPAD, is launching a regional project on Feasibility Study on Business Opportunities for women in a Changing the Energy Value Chain in West Africa, where 16 women-led energy businesses from 4 different ECOWAS Member States will be identified for potential financing.
Media experts have reaffirmed the need for a network of Journalists from ECOWAS Member States to cover the activities of the ECOWAS Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (ECREEE).
Emerging from a 2-day capacity building workshop of ECOWAS Member States’ journalists which ended in Dakar, on Thursday, 23rd June, 2016, participants recommended the setting up of a network to cater for the information need of Community citizens on renewable energy and related issues.
On 28 September 2015, ECREEE launched a call for research proposals in policy research. The call was launched under the framework of the ECOWAS Initiative on Youth Leadership Development in Energy, which is one of the five high-impact initiatives of the ECOWAS Programme on Gender Mainstreaming in Energy Access (ECOW-GEN).
